Balboa Park's not just for hobos and fashion challenged folk!

I took Megan to Balboa Park and amidst all the gaiety of her quipping on everyone who walked by, I took some photos! Here are a few, for your viewing pleasure:

Old Pics, New Edits

See what happens is... I get bored (or am trying to procrastinate on that homework that's due... yesterday) and I go through old photos to see what awesomeness I can achieve today. Here's what I've come up with. No need for applause... I know I'm amazing *bow*

Linda Vista Comunity Hospital

This past Friday the 16th, my friend Mason www.photoboiz.com and I went to the Linda Vista Community Hospital in LA. It's an abandoned, supposedly haunted, hospital, but then it gets scarier... it's in EAST L.A.!

Here are a few photos from the shoot. Enjoy!

San Diego. NOT "San DIAGO"

And not "a whale's vagina" thankyouverymuch. But here are a couple of pics from my photo safari last weekend. I'm not going to post the pic of the bu peeing on the tree. That was just gross.

I had the pleasure of shooting of of the cutest guys I know! We went to the park, brought our own booze, and drank away our troubles... oh who am I kidding, we were drinking in a park in San Diego and we live in the best state ever!

Exciting... !

Tomorrow all you readers (both of you) will have the pleasure, nay... the PRIVILEGE of seeing shots of one of my favorite people! She's gorgeous and buxom and gorgeous. She's not all looks, but really, what more do you as viewers care about?

So feel very lucky that I am going to bless you with the opportunity of seeing her beautiful... face. Tomorrow-ish.

Just one of my faves

This is one of my favorite shots. Like I said, I usually have to sneak up on him, and take pictures while he is doing something that he can't run away while doing.

I could have been arrested apparently...

Before the cop came to collect me, I snapped this picture. I haven't edited it yet, but here's a teaser. It's awesome. Just like me...

Shoots sometimes don't happen...

Saturday I was supposed to drive up to Mt. Laguna to the abandoned Air Force base to do a grime type shoot. Well, it rained. Instead I did a photo shoot of Heidi, my favorite glamazon... in my garage.
Then today, it was sunny! I thought, "What a GREAT day to go to Mt Laguna!"

I get up there... it was snowy. Not too cold, but icy everywhere. We get up to the abandoned buildings, ignoring the "NO TRESPASSING" signs, and commence shooting. Right up until the police came. Damn it...

Oh well, it was a more expensive shoot than I originally planned for. Shit happens.

Here are some photo of the shoot I did with Heidi. Enjoy

Photos of an unwilling subject

When Photographing an obstinate or unwilling subject, the best thing to do is to shoot them in their natural habitat, somewhere they are comfortable. Dillon hates when I take pictures of him, so I try to take them while he is doing something that he enjoys doing... or at least can't get up and run away during.

This is Dillon. He hates when I take pictures of him. I do it anyway though. This is an infrared image.

Haha this is Dillon at a slow shutter speed, low light. I told him to close his eyes really tightly, then open them up wide. This... is scary.

This is an infrared shot of Dillon at the computer.

It's been a while.. I know, I suck at blogging

Since November, I HAVE taken pictures... I just have yet to put them up. Sorry. I will. Soon even.

This weekend, I am going up to an abandoned Air Force installation to take photos. Most will be taken with my Canon ae-1 35mm film camera. Some will be taken with my Nikon D70 for the website.

The theme I am going to follow is juxtaposition... with wine!

Yes, there will be wine. I'm sure that at the shoots the bottles will start out full... and end up empty. That's how I roll.

Here's my counter top, just so you know I'm serious:
